Interior Inspiration: The Plate Rack
This summer, why not give your kitchen a bright and breezy revamp with these incredible, innovative plate racks.
Founded in 2012, The Plate Rack is run by Jen and Nick, as well as their gorgeous dog Wally. Based in Bristol, the pair love to travel and they also love to shop. They travelled 4164 miles to bring us, what they think, is the world’s best stainless steel plate rack. (And we have to say, we agree.) You can stack one plate rack on top of the top for a multi-purpose storage unit. The plate rack is simple, sleek and extremely useful, so it works well with almost anything put on it and looks good in every kitchen.
About the plate racks:
Each Indian plate rack is handcut, so each one is unique. All of the plate slots are open, and each shelf contains ‘recessed holes to allow for drainage’. For information on how to position and hang your plate rack, you can check out Jen and Nick’s handy guide here.
Shapes and sizes!
The plate racks are available in three different sizes: mini, middle and mighty.
The mini plate rack offers:
- 6 slots for main plates.
- They are large and can actually hold 12 plates if you double them.
- 3 cup/utensils hooks.
- 4 cutlery slots.
The middle plate rack offers:

- They are large and can actually hold 10 plates if you double them up.
