What’s On? The Gallery Café and St Margaret’s House
St. Margaret’s House is a local treasure that has something for almost everyone. Below is a quick look at what it has to offer:
Workshops in Arts and Crafts: At The Create Place you can drop-in for free weekly sessions, which are open to everyone regardless of skill level. You can find the timetable of their arts and crafts workshops here.
Low cost office space and room hire: St. Margaret’s House is home to over 30 different community organisations and charities. If you’re a community or not-for-profit organisation operating in Tower Hamlets, they offer a number of room hire facilities at low rates, as well as subsidised office spaces to rent. For more information e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteers: The work achieved at St. Margaret’s House would not be possible without the support of its volunteers. Whether it’s helping out at their charity shop or helping out at a workshop, if you would like to volunteer you can e-mail: email@example.com to learn about all of the opportunities available.
Vegan and Vegetarian food: The Gallery Café offers a beautiful selection of vegan and vegetarian food, as well as an eclectic programme of live events and a monthly art exhibition from emerging artists. You can check out the menu and opening hours here.
Yoga, fitness and dance classes: The East London Community Wellbeing is their latest project. They provide low-cost yoga, pilates, fitness, and dance classes for the Bethnal Green community. They offer a selection of classes in their hall and The YogaNest studio at 27 Old Ford Road. You can find their yoga + fitness timetable here.
